Al Muratsuchi’s campaign to retake the 66th Assembly District seat continues to gain momentum as the Korean American Democratic Committee (KADC) endorses him for the seat.

“Al Muratuschi understands the issues that matter to the people of the South Bay. He has a strong record of supporting women’s reproductive health, the environment, public safety and our schools, and we know that he will continue to expand upon that record when he gets to Sacramento in November. He is the right leader for the 66th Assembly District,” said Gene F. Kim, KADC President.

The Korean American Democratic Committee (KADC) is a countywide Democratic organization chartered by the Los Angeles County Democratic Party. It was founded in 1992 to engage and mobilize the Korean American community to participate in the local, state and federal electoral process.

Muratsuchi represented the 66th Assembly District from 2012 to 2014, and is widely considered the number one priority and opportunity for state Assembly leadership to regain Democratic seats.

Muratsuchi has lived in the South Bay for the past twenty years with his wife and daughter. He is a Deputy Attorney General with the California Department of Justice, a former Torrance School Board member, and a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and UCLA School of Law.
