The Beach Cities Democrats, Torrance Democratic Club, and the California Democratic Party have officially endorsed Al Muratsuchi for reelection to the State Assembly.
"While many politicians in Sacramento play to the special interests, Al Muratsuchi has the courage and record to fight for the Democratic values we believe in here in the South Bay,” said Bobbi Buescher, President of the Beach Cities Democrats. “With the Trump Administration threatening to drill for oil right off of our coast, Al is the one we trust to protect our beaches and neighborhoods from these attacks. He fights for quality public schools, affordable health care and safer neighborhoods, and that’s why we are proud to stand with local Democrats to re-elect Al Muratsuchi to the State Assembly.”
As the Assemblymember representing the South Bay, Al Muratsuchi has delivered increased funding for local schools, community colleges, and universities; introduced legislation to fight the Trump Administration’s plan to drill for oil off California’s coast; wrote bills to fight against sexual harassment and for common sense gun safety; and fought to make the Torrance Refinery safer and to protect communities surrounding the refinery.
“I am proud to earn the trust and support of the Beach Cities Democrats, Torrance Democratic Club, and the California Democratic Party,” said Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi. “Together, we will continue to fight for good jobs, good schools, safe neighborhoods, and a clean and healthy environment for all.”
The Primary Election is Tuesday, June 5th, and the General Election is Tuesday, November 6th.
