FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Torrance, CA - State Assembly candidate Al Muratsuchi released the following statement today endorsing Manhattan Beach School Bonds C and EE.
“As a parent, former Torrance School board member and former chair of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Education Finance, I know first-hand how important the state of our classrooms are to the success of our children. I wholeheartedly endorse Measures C & EE, which are critically needed bonds to provide safe, quality schools in Manhattan Beach.
Measure C will dedicate $114M to school classrooms that are over 70 years old. It will address vital infrastructure needs such as building permanent classrooms to replace aging portables that often leak and have poor plumbing and electrical systems. It will also address earthquake safety needs.
Measure EE will replace the 65-year-old Fisher Gymnasium with a new athletic education center that will be used by both the community and our kids. Over 1000 Manhattan Beach USD students will gain a modern and earthquake safe gym.
Measures C and EE are long-term investments in Manhattan Beach’s greatest assets: our children and schools.
Please join me in supporting Measure C and EE for safe, quality schools in Manhattan Beach.”
